On my recovery journey, I have come across many betrayed women who were desperate for help but unable to access appropriate resources. Their finances were typically tied up in getting their spouse services, which is absolutely needed. However, research has shown that sexual betrayal and the impact of disclosure have a traumatic effect on the brain, very similar to PTSD. When all the therapeutic focus is on the betrayer, the betrayed spouse is left struggling in their trauma and heartache because they did not have individual help. I want to provide these women the support they so desperately need and deserve.
